01 Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using EraseMe ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and EraseMe. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

02 License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, EraseMe grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control.

• The Free version may be used on a single device for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• The Pro version is activated with a license key bound to the device ID used during license generation.
• Licenses are non-transferable and may not be resold or sublicensed.
• You receive the right to use the Software, not ownership of the Software itself.

03 Restrictions

You agree not to, and will not permit others to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software.
• Modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software.
• Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, assign, or otherwise transfer rights to the Software.
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Software.
• Use the Software to harm others, destroy data you do not own, or for any illegal purpose.
• Circumvent any technical limitations or security features of the Software.

04 Your Data & Responsibility

EraseMe operates entirely on your local device. We do not have access to, and do not store, any files you protect, encrypt, or delete using the Software.

You are solely responsible for:

• All data processed through the Software, including its legality and appropriateness.
• Maintaining backups of any data you wish to preserve.
• Safeguarding your encryption password. There is no password recovery mechanism.
• Ensuring you have the right to encrypt or delete any files you process.

05 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

EraseMe does not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from vulnerabilities. Use of the Software is at your own risk.

06 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ERASEME SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of data, files, or other information.
• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities.
• Damage to your device or systems.
• Any unauthorized access to your data.

In no event shall EraseMe's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve months preceding the claim.

07 Termination

This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms.

Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession. Termination does not entitle you to a refund unless required by applicable law.

08 Updates to Terms

EraseMe reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the Software after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you must stop using the Software.
